A beautiful downtown Boise, Idaho wedding.

January 7th was the perfect day to celebrate Lily and Broden!

This couple had a fun and creative idea for their special day, and I was all for it! They wanted to stray away from the typical ceremony, and the typical colors! They chose to celebrate their marriage with a fun and beautiful indoor ceremony centered around the color purple!

The details planned for the evening were stunning. With strings of lavender across the tables, candles, and succulents, their personality shined through the entire venue! One of my favorite details was the Polaroid guest book. Each guest got to take a photo using the Polaroid camera and signed the photo for the couple to look back on. Such a cute idea, though I might be biased as a photographer!

The entire day was not lavender and sunshine, however. We had to overcome some challenging weather struggles early that day.

As we gathered by the capitol building in Boise, ID, for the group photos, we started to see the clouds rolling in. We were moving fast in attempts to not get the bride poured on! But our fears caught up to us, and the rain started falling.

Taking advantage of unpredicted moments can lead to incredible results.

We saw some coverage nearby that we ran underneath for protection. After some looking around and creative processing, I found that this covered area was the perfect spot for group photos! I stepped into the rain and photographed back into the beautiful scenery. The overcast sky lit their faces perfectly while they were framed by the intricate building.

The amount of time we took to take the group photos was just enough time for the rain to slow down just enough to rush back to the venue. And then we started the beautiful reception.

Thinking back on the day, I can remember some of my favorite details:
